Take Much Better Travel Photos With Your Smart Phone

Phone cameras are better than ever, but they don’t rank with DSLR cameras. But DSLR’s are pricey, less convenient to carry around, have a high learning curve and are an extra device to take care of. We rely on our phone cameras.

Reaching The Limits

Sometimes it’s frustrating when our phone’s lens isn’t up to the job of capturing some amazing architecture and we return to the hotel with less than outstanding photos. Fortunately, there are several brands of add-on lenses for phones. YouTuber Marques Brownlee reviewed the Moment Lenses for Smart Phones and convinced us to give the Moment wide angle lens a try.

Our Field Test

I applied filters to show a clear delineation between the photos, so this is not a measure of quality.
The 18mm lens definitely makes a huge difference. In our opinion, it’s worth the $109.58 USD. The price included a phone case, a requirement that allows the lens to fit perfectly over your phone’s camera.(Moment Lenses are only available for a select number of Smart Phones, so check out their website to see if yours is one of them:

  1. Thanks, Eliza. We’ve been so happy with it that we’ll end up buying the Moment telephoto lens. Hopefully there’s a Black Friday special 👋😊
